Highland Shores Children’s Aid is looking for conscientious, dynamic, responsible and flexible individuals who are interested in making an important contribution to the lives of vulnerable children and families in our community.

The students of today could be the Highland Shores child welfare professionals of tomorrow!

Field Placement Opportunities

Highland Shores provides placement opportunities for students who are enrolled in a variety of post-secondary education programs such as social work, child and youth worker, social services worker, autism and behaviour sciences, behaviour science technology, information technology, paralegal and legal administration, records and information management, and business administration.

Summer Student Opportunities

Highland Shores offers paid summer student employment for youth looking to gain experience within Children’s Aid. Opportunities vary each year and are posted in the spring. Opportunities may include working with children and youth supporting summer activities, working within the Legal department, Information Technology, and Records Information Management.

We are open and here to help.

Highland Shores CAS is an essential workplace. Our doors are open; however, in accordance with Public Health guidance, all visitors and staff should stay home when sick. Visits should be rescheduled during the time symptoms are present until symptoms have improved for 24 hours or 48 hours for gastrointestinal symptoms.

Also, masks are currently required in all public parts of our building until further notice.
