The Board of Directors of Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society wishes to recognize individuals, groups or organizations who have made outstanding contributions in the field of child welfare in Hastings, Prince Edward and/or Northumberland Counties.

Award winners are invited to the Society’s Annual General Meeting taking place in June of 2023 to receive recognition.

Selection Criteria

  1. Individuals, groups or organizations (both from within HSCA and those external to child welfare) may be recognized for their contributions. Individuals may include CAS staff, Board or other volunteers, foster or adoptive parents and caregivers, and other external parties, i.e. service clubs, community members or organizations.
  2. Leadership contributions being recognized have achieved or are expected to achieve a significant impact in the progressive development of child welfare in Prince Edward, Hastings and/or Northumberland Counties.
  3. Contributions being recognized demonstrate exceptional leadership in the progressive development of one or more of the following aspects of child welfare in Prince Edward, Hastings and/or Northumberland Counties: Organizational Governance and/or Management; Programs and Services to Children and Families; Advocacy; Policy and/or Legislation; Community Development and Research.

All nominees must fit at least one of the above criteria.

We are open and here to help.

Highland Shores CAS is an essential workplace. Our doors are open; however, in accordance with Public Health guidance, all visitors and staff should stay home when sick. Visits should be rescheduled during the time symptoms are present until symptoms have improved for 24 hours or 48 hours for gastrointestinal symptoms.

Also, masks are currently required in all public parts of our building until further notice.
