The nineteenth annual Violence Awareness & Random Acts of Kindness Week is being held March 9th to 15th, 2015. The purpose of the week is to promote positive energy to counteract the negative effects of senseless violence in our society. Twenty four thousand area elementary & high school students in Hastings & Prince Edward Counties are invited to participate as well as the greater Quinte, North Hastings & Prince Edward County communities.
You are invited to participate in the planned events for the week:
Monday March 9th - Opening ceremonies, student awards candle light vigil remembering victims of violence to be held at the Quinte Mall Kindness Court at 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday March 10th - Kindness Crews will be travelling throughout Belleville, Trenton, Frankford, Stirling, Madoc, Picton & Wellington bestowing acts of kindness upon those communities.
Wednesday March 11th - Blue Ribbon of Hope Day - you are invited to wear a blue ribbon as a symbol of hope to end senseless violence.
Saturday March 14th - draws will be held for handmade, mohair "Kindness from the Heart Bear", a beautiful lap quilt & the Kindness Citizen of the Year.
Sunday March 15th - Random Acts of Kindness Day - acts of kindness are those deeds that take an extra effort of being kind when you are not required to do so. Make a positive difference in someone's life!

Deadline for entries is noon Friday, March 13/15.
